Affiliate Marketing using eBooks
Affiliate marketing with eBooks is one of the best ways to create a strong stream of income through Internet marketing. Whether you promote your own eBook, or one that someone else has written, this can work well as a facet of your online business venture.
You can sell your own eBook, inviting affiliate marketers to promote it on their website or blog for you and giving them a percentage of each sale. Or you can promote eBooks that others have written by joining an affiliate program such as ClickBank or PayDotCom and choosing a good product to feature on your own site.
When you choose to promote someone else’s eBook, it’s important to look for eBooks that will sell well and that offer a good commission. Choose a good quality product that’s relevant to your niche. Take a look at the sales page for that eBook. Does it make you want to buy the product? If not, it probably won’t excite your website or blog visitors to buy either.
And don’t forget commission. You get a percent of each sale that is generated by you. The bigger the percentage, the larger the commission assuming the price of the product is the same!
You’re doing a lot of work to sell this eBook, so go for one with a good-sized commission. Affiliate marketing with eBooks also requires that you do some work of your own – for instance – you have to make sure your website is search engine optimized for the most possible traffic. Affiliate marketing with eBooks can be a lucrative business. Follow these guidelines, and see what selling eBooks can do for you!
Niche Marketing – No Blog Required?
Everyone knows that niche marketing is the way to go these days. I’ve blogged about what niche marketing is before on this site.
Niches allow you to focus your efforts for maximum effect – you’re not wasting time trying to cover a huge area – rather, you’re spending your resources pinpointing a target market. The best way to build a niche following (of targeted potential customers) is by building a blog.
People love blogs. Blogs are great places to find an ongoing flow of information that is relevant to a certain topic or subject area. Some people think blogs are only for the internet marketing niche or personal blogs for people wanting to talk about their holidays. Not so – they work brilliantly with all niche markets.
All you have to do is choose your niche and start your blog.
Yes, I’m being a bit over simplistic by saying that – but really, blogs aren’t difficult to create and maintain and a blog is a great way to publish your content – the content that marks you as an expert in your field.
To build a niche following with a blog, you’ll want to first choose your niche keywords carefully. Once you’ve done that, you can create content – your blog posts, even podcasts and videos that you embed in your blog, that center on those keywords.
Keep your blog fresh and updated on a very regular basis, and make sure you’ve search engine optimized your blog. You’ll find that the search engines are more than happy to give it a good page rank. This leads to more traffic and more traffic leads to a growing following.
Create a blog to support your niche. You’ll brand yourself as an expert quickly and it is just one more way for people to find you. And with lots of good quality content presented in one place, they will keep coming back. It’s true it can take a lot of effort – but it will reap rewards for you!

eBook Writing – An Important Form of Internet Marketing
eBooks are gaining in popularity! They have become a viable marketing tool and people love the fact that they are convenient, less expensive and do exactly what a print book does.
And eBooks are great for helping you to build your own personal brand as an expert. It’s digital, but it’s still a real book – with you as the author! This is yet another reason why you should learn about eBook writing as a useful form of marketing.
There are two distinct ways to get into eBook writing. The first is to write your own eBooks and publish them online. You can sell them as affiliate info products from your own website or from an affiliate network such as ClickBank.
This serves two purposes – bringing in money and establishing yourself as an expert in your chosen niche. On the downside, you need time, creativity and energy to write your eBook – and if you have all these things then there is nothing from stopping you from starting right away! Write an eBook that provides useful information to the reader. Make sure it’s complete and that it looks good and reads well.
The other approach to eBook writing is to hire a talented ghostwriter to write your eBook for you. You can find cheap but good ghostwriters in the Warrior Forum, or at Elance. This is perfectly fine! You have an idea for an eBook, you have someone with the time, energy and creativity write it for you at an agreed upon price, and when you pay for the service, you get the copyrights to that book and your name goes on it as the author.
You sell it and establish yourself as an expert in exactly the same way as you would have had you written it yourself. Both ways are acceptable!
And don’t forget, you get to put all your affiliate links inside your eBook – and if you offer Master Resell Rights, then your eBook could go “viral”!
Work at Home Business – 2 Ways to Get Targeted Traffic to Your Website
Out of all the people I’ve talked to about their work at home business, there has been one thing consistent about all of them and that is the problem of getting traffic to their website. It doesn’t matter how beautiful your website is, if you’re not getting traffic to it you will not make any money. In this article we will talk about 2 ways to get traffic to your website.
Article Marketing
Getting traffic to your website is only half the battle, especially when you’re depending on sales as your primary source of income. When you get targeted traffic to your website, you increase your chance to make sales because your visitors are already interested (pre-sold), and you can do this using a number of ways.
One way to pre-sell your prospects is by using article marketing as a way to show your knowledge on a particular subject which would get them to your website. If you are selling a product or service, you can write a review on the subject and write about the benefits it provide and how it could also benefit them. This review should also talk about any drawbacks or disadvantages also. After all, this is a review and not exactly a sales pitch.
Forum Marketing
Forums are a great place to find targeted visitors to come to your website. Make sure that you are in a forum that is relevant to your particular niche. After you join a forum you have the privilege of setting up a signature file in which you can anchor text your chosen keywords to your website to receive maximum benefit.
The way you attract visitors is by answering questions you have knowledge in, positioning yourself as an authority figure on a particular subject. At the end of your response is where you would use your anchor text signature. You will receive best results by not sounding like a sales person, but only to give helpful and meaningful feedback.
These are two ways to help your work at home business attract targeted traffic to your website. There are dozens of other ways to help you market your home business online, but these two ways are very reliable and is easy on your marketing budget. The real strategy to using these two methods is to be consistent and after a while you will notice your traffic increasing. Although this traffic may be slower, the best part of it is that it is much more targeted.

Branding Your Expertise in a Niche Market
As an online niche marketer, you’ll have a bevy of competition tailing your progress, so you must work hard to stay ahead of the pack and maintain control of the demographic. There’s no better way to get the results you want than to develop a relationship with your niche target audience.
No niche marketer has ample time to send out personal emails to each individual prospect and customer, but you can create a persona or use your own identity to develop brand recognition among your niche market.
First, you want to allow your customers to put an image with the name of your brand. This was a “big one” for me! I felt very uncomfortable putting up a picture of myself. But it doesn’t have to be a photo of yourself. Some niche marketers use stock photos of stand-in models or graphics that depict a representation of the niche itself. It doesn’t matter as long as your target customers can “see” you in their mind.
Next, start allowing your prospects to get to know you on more than a business to customer level. They should know a little about your background – what got you into this niche? Give them a story that lets them know you feel their pain, understand their needs, or want to help them on a genuine level.
Become the go-to person in your niche. If other niche marketers who are your competition have a hands-off status on social networking sites, using them for funneling traffic via links only, then you be the sole entrepreneur who goes one step further and heightens the peer-to-peer communication with your online contacts.
How to Properly Use PLR in Your Marketing Efforts
Private Label Rights have got a bad name recently in some circles. For some, the term PLR has come to mean the same as “poor quality” material. However, it is not the PLR itself that performs badly, but the marketers who are trying to use it and don’t know what they’re doing.
So here’s a quick reminder on what you should do, and should not be doing with PLR.
When you buy PLR, it’s generally with the intention of either saving you time (creating your own products), or money (cheap versus the cost of a ghostwriter), or both. However, once purchased, some marketers (and possibly the majority of them) make the mistake of thinking they can “save time” by taking a “shortcut” that involves using the PLR as is, without any changes. Let’s face it, we’ve all done it.
This is a HUGE mistake.
Regardless of how you’re using the PLR, you should always alter it a minimum of 30% so that it stands out as unique for you. Not only will search engines appreciate the effort, but even if you’re using the PLR in your autoresponder, you don’t want your reader to get an email and then see the exact same content online being used by someone else.
Saving money is a given with PLR. It costs much less to buy Private Label Rights than it does to hire a ghostwriter to create something from scratch for you. But don’t go by price alone. Just because it’s cheap, doesn’t mean it’s a bargain – the writing could still be shoddy. And likewise, just because it’s expensive PLR doesn’t mean it’s going to be stellar. Check the quality of the PLR itself to gauge whether or not you’ll be able to use it to your advantage.
And lastly, always abide by the PLR site owner’s rules and regulations. If they say you’re not allowed to use it as web content, you can assume they’ll be running checks through companies like Copyscape from time to time. You don’t want to do a bunch of work only to have it shut down because you didn’t adhere to the regulations for it.
PLR can be a good move – use it properly!
Articles Versus Social Networks for Niche Marketing Success
Niche marketing success, as all savvy online marketers know, requires several elements:
1) You have to choose a profit-pulling target market;
2) You need to know what keywords they’re using to find the solutions they’re after;
3) And you need content to attract your audience to your offers for conversions.
But where is the best place for niche marketers to position this valuable, expertise-laden content?
Article marketing works. Everyone agrees on that. But then again, so does social marketing (done properly). Everyone agrees on that too.
The argument about articles versus social networking sites has been brewing for quite some time. Advocates of article directories say that social networks have too many restrictions or are too time consuming to learn how to use.
On the flip side, niche marketers who utilize the world of web 2.0 embrace the new platforms that help them build attractive web pages without having to learn complicated code. And, they argue, article directories that perform best (such as Ezine Articles) also have limitations on how and where you can be promotional within the body of the content.
Fortunately, marketing is not a one-or-the-other thing. But, if your goal is imply to use one or the other, your best bet is to do a split test of the two.
Your best bet is to do a split test of the two, if your goal is to simply use one or the other.
Split testing is when you’ll take similar content (same keywords targeted, same length, for example), and post to one article directory and one web 2.0 site, tracking the results of traffic and conversions. Then when you have a winner, you alter one element – such as testing out a different directory or social network – and pit it against the former winner until you know which site(s) perform best for your niche marketing needs.
Successful niche marketers like to have a good balance of articles on directories and web pages built on social networking sites. The choice is yours!
