Niche Marketing is a buzz word all over the internet.  Everyone talks about.  You have to do it if you’re going to make any money online AT ALL.  But what is niche marketing?

Quite simply, niche marketing is the ninja success tool that allows internet newbies to compete on a level playing field with the corporate “gurus”.  I say “corporate” gurus because every major name out there and a lot of the rising stars too, have a whole team of people doing the grunt work for them – the work that takes time and effort for the newbie.

Niche marketing is what has created a real opportunity for everyone who wants to, to make money.  And I do mean “who wants to”.

Niche marketing is not a get rich quick scheme.  If you don’t want to do any work, can’t be bothered to put the effort in and think it should be easy, go and buy a Lottery Ticket.  Niche marketing is not for you.  But if you want certainty and are prepared to work at it, niche marketing is where you should be.  

Niche marketing simply means targeting a narrow segment of your target market with a highly tailored product.  And the more specific the better.  Yes your product will appeal to a narrower range of people but those people it does appeal to are far more likely to buy it.  Believe me.  If I’d have found an ebook entitled “How To Potty Train Your Twin Sons”, at a certain stage of my life, you couldn’t have stopped me whipping out the cash!

Bear in mind when targeting your niche, your topic must be one that solves a problem, makes them more fulfilled in some way and/or provides them with other information they need or want. 

Remember to take action!  Get your product out there in a timely fashion.  There’s no point producing a brilliant product on Hurricane Survival two weeks after everyone needed the information so went and bought a competitor’s less polished product. 

Oh and make sure your website is easily navigable.  There’s nothing more likely to frustrate your visitors than trying to find information on a website that’s got poor navigation! 

Niche marketing is time consuming, but it can be done successfully by solo net-preneurs.  Why not you?
