SEO Strategy With Niche Marketing in Mind

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) has never been more important than in today’s world.  You really want to rank at the top of the SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages), but how to beat the competition to get there can be baffling.

Do keywords still count?

Does site design really matter?

There are so many questions about how to properly organize your niche marketing website with SEO in mind that many newbies (and others too!) simply don’t know where to start!

Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI) has provided niche marketers with a relatively easy solution.  It’s perfect because instead of trying to rank a website as a whole high in the SERPs with a single home page domain, you’ll have hundreds of pages ranking high for drilled down, targeted keywords you’ve researched for your niche.

First, you want to have your keywords grouped into categories.  For example, if you’re in the dog niche, you might have a category for dog breeds, dog training, dog food, and so on.  LSI works to your SEO advantage because it lets you group your pages for presentation to the search engine robots, making your site easier to find and more accessible by consumers.

By clustering the concepts of your website, you become a perfect resource for search engines to provide to their searches.  So your website indexing might look like this:

http://www.dogs.com as your primary home page
http://www.dogs.com/dogbreeds as one category
http://www.dogs.com/dogbreeds/chihuahuas as a sub-category

This type of organization using LSI grouping makes it easy on the robots to index your site and helps you rise in the ranks of SEO because you’ve grouped your relevant content into one large powerhouse of information.

LSI works perfectly with blogs and, for my money, is a lot easy to think about than SEO overall!
